When we lived in Texas we debated whether to send our kids to a Catholic school or a charter school with a classical curriculum.  When we moved to NM and found HCCS, we no longer had to debate. We send our kids to HCCS because of the focus on faith, the classical curriculum, and the small class size. Our kids learn the importance of prayer, how to read, write, and do math without the distraction of iPads, and get individualized attention to grow at their own pace.

Our children have been students at HCCS since 2017 and we can honestly say that this is the most amazing school that we have ever experienced. The school’s classical curriculum provides a framework that inspires and develops a love of learning - truly Renaissance children. Together with small class sizes, the school’s Christ-centered approach gives students the best possible environment in which to excel, be their finest selves, and, most importantly, to love God.
We cannot praise enough the boundless enthusiasm, excellence and passion that the Principal and all the teaching staff demonstrate each and every day in school - our children always feel nurtured because they know that they matter and are valued.
As a family, we feel truly privileged to be a part of this wonderful school and church community.

This school has been wonderful for my kids and family. They work with my kids individually and offer many things. I drive an hour one way to take them there. I love the one on one (instruction) and (focus on)God in their lives. They work on skills that most schools are letting go of like cursive, spelling, art, music, history, science and much more.

Holy Child Catholic School was an answer to our prayers. We had our two oldest children in a private Christian school that we were pretty happy with, but it just wasn’t Catholic. We have had our children at HCCS since its inception and couldn’t be happier. Our children have learned more about the faith since being at HCCS than I ever did growing up Catholic. We are thrilled that they are able to attend mass daily and pray the rosary every Friday. The academics at HCCS are so above and beyond what you would get in any other school. Our children have soared by leaps and bounds because of the personal attention they are able to receive. We are so blessed to be a part of the Holy Child Catholic School family.

Holy Child Catholic School has been a blessing for our family. The teachers are excellent, caring, loving and Christ centered. The parish is so supportive. My children love learning Latin, violin and participating in the Drama Club. This little school has so much to offer. So happy that God has made this school possible for our family and others.

So blessed that our school emphasizes public speaking starting at 3 & 4 (before a child even realizes they should be "afraid" of it!)  I love the balance our school provides with music/art.

The Air Force sent us to New Mexico, but it was the opportunity for our children to attend Holy Child that settled us in the East Mountains.   We are blessed to have such a wonderful school staff and parish priest who truly care about the formation of our children in mind, body, spirit, and soul.  They endeavor always to guide our children to what is true, good, and beautiful, and always to the greater Glory of God.   We could not ask for anything better than this.

We moved here from the greater Washington D.C. area where they have some of the top-rated public schools in the country. Holy Child Catholic School goes above and beyond what was offered there. Holy Child definitely challenged and prepared our daughter academically for the private high school she attended and now into college. In addition to the top-notch classical education, Holy Child encouraged her spiritual growth which we consider to be an essential part of her development. She learned moral truths that have strengthened her as she steps out into the world. And last but not least, the caring teachers, friendly atmosphere and small class sizes make this school a homerun. There is something very special happening at Holy Child Catholic School! We highly recommend it!

HCCS not only gave me an edge in academics over other schools, but also built up a strong desire in me to do all things for the greater glory of God. As a college student, I now feel the benefits of a Classical education more than ever.  HCCS provided me with a strong foundation for my future and for growing in virtue.
Jacob Figge, Class of 2013
After forty-seven years of teaching in three states, I can truly say that Holy Child Catholic School has been my best and most rewarding experience. I believe that the only real hope for our world is to form our children in TRUTH, beauty, and goodness.  HCCS fulfills this mission and is bringing hope to a deceived world.
Ms. Connie Rogers, teacher and co-founder
What's not to love about Holy Child Catholic School?! The Classical curriculum, small class size, daily mass, art, and music give this school all the advantages of a larger school but all of the individual attention of a small school. It is truly the best of both worlds.  Having raised three boys and having to fight and be an advocate for their education in both private and public school settings, when our daughter came along, we had a very clear idea of the educational environment we wanted for her. The teachers at Holy Child know and understand children. They ask a lot of their students but do it in a gentle supportive manner, providing the necessary encouragement and instruction to inspire a love of learning.

However, academic excellence is not their only goal.  They are developing good citizens.  What other school do you see a child scrape their knee and instantly there is a half a dozen other students asking if that student is OK and finding out how they can help? To observe the students at Holy Child Catholic School gives us hope for the future of our world. We live in Albuquerque, and are so impressed with the school that we have made the commute to Tijeras for the past 6 years.  If you are looking for a school with more than just academic excellence (even if you want just academic excellence - where else is your 3rd grader going to read The Adventures of Odysseus?) look no further. HCCS is the real deal.

Holy Child is needed, supported, and so important in our community!
I am so appreciative that my children can attend Holy Child.

A school that begins its day with Mass or prayer, has teachers that truly care about each young soul (and are often smiling) students that are experiencing childhood with play, imagination, good friends - huge blessings!
My children come home excited to share with me stories of saints, how they learned chess, new Latin terms, the book they are reading, poetry, and art. This warms my heart. I thank you and your whole staff for providing this faith-filled culture that I did not think was possible to achieve in today's world.

One can read the news and get saddened easily about our current culture and our future but this little school shines bright in a dark world! My children get to be children as they form an appetite for the true, good, and the beautiful.
